You leave Son Palou turning right towards Orient. You have to walk on the road for about 1 Km. Pass Hotel l´hermitage and after 100 metres, on the right, you will see the metallic gate with a few steps. You will have to use these metallic steps to continue because normally the gate is closed.
First of all, a narrow path takes you past olives groves and up the hill. About 50 minutes later you will the reach a platform where people sometimes park their cars. If you are lucky, you will see 2 or 3 mules tied up and waiting for their orders to transport food and other goods up to the castle!
You leave the platform following the recently restored path to the left. After about 30-40 minutes you will arrive at the ruin and another 10 minutes later at the summit where there is a chapel, a hostel and an inn. This place offers a splendid panorama. Take the same route back for your return journey.
